I like both but from what I've heard so far, I like more Offspring songs than Sublime songs but that's probably 'cause Offspring gets more radio play where I live.

Really? I've only seen them once in concert, but I was dissappointed because their show was lacking energy and they gave off this vibe like "Yeah, we're here...let's get this over with already." I must have just hit them on a bad night or something...
Lyrically, I'm going to go with Sublime. Both bands are fun to sing along to. Offspring has a little more crazy energy on their albums than Sublime though, imho.

IMO Sublime are just plain better, way better melodists and songwriters. Their funny songs are funnier than Offsprings funny songs and they're better musicians, Nowell had some sweet solos up his sleeve.
I used to be obsessed with Offspring when I was a kid. But now I see them as being just a decent band. I can't really bear to listen to Dexter Hollands vocals anymore. Noodles had some pretty sweet riffs though, gotta love that opening riff to Americana. |

I think some people are criticizing The Offspring because they haven't burned out yet. But the fact of the matter is when they were in their prime, Offspring was one of the biggest (and awesomest) garage band acts. I still listen to them on occasion, just for the nostalgia of the first hard band I listened to. And they did have some great albums. Smash, Ixnay On The Hombre, Americana were great records, no doubt. Sublime was short and sweet. They just burned out long before their songs garnered them enough stoner fans. Honestly, I think The Offspring have so much more energy on their albums than Sublime, but their both still great nineties bands.
