Luke I know you like Mogwai, so by that you will also like 65daysofstatic. They are quite similar but both are still unique enough.

Melt-Banana - pretty good group!
Pavement - overrated but enjoyable.
A Tribe Called Quest - used to love them, haven't listened in a while
Muse - Not too bad, but I'd never listen by choice.
Public Enemy - indifferent

The Velvet Underground - debut and white light/white heat are great but self-titled and loaded are ****
T. Rex - prefer tyrannosaurus rex over just t. rex
Minutemen - great band but i prefer hüsker dü over them slightly
Ludwig van Beethoven - who the **** is that?
New York Dolls - greatness
Roxy Music - enjoyed their self-titled, but everything else seemed weak and/or fake
Brett Smiley - the little i've heard from him is disappointing
Talking Heads - enjoyable group, liked 77 and remain in light a lot
Frank Zappa - genius, weasels ripped my flesh, burnt weeny sandwich, and absolutely free are godly
****ney Rebel - average, although i do like the song tumbling down off of psychomodo
Hüsker Dü - grand band, everything falls apart > zen arcade/new day rising
The Cars - some listenable pop music
The Stooges - the greatness that the doors failed to be
This Heat - incredible band; self-titled is MUCH better than deceit
The Kinks - i've got a place in my heart for the kinks, face to face = best album
Can - good band, 'nuff said
The Soft Boys - another band i grew up with, old pervert is a classic song
The Feelies - great band with one of the greatest drummers of all time
Pere Ubu - incredible.
Boredoms - this here is some good noise, pop tatari = best album

Broken Social Scene- I just started listening to them a week ago, and so far I like what I hear.

Maps & Atlases-Haven't heard of them

Q-Tip-I've only own Amplified (so far) and I rather like it.

Beck-One of my favorite artists

Mogwai-I haven't gotten around to listening to them yet, but I shall soon.

King Crimson- I've only heard In the Court of the Crimson King. I love it, and I need to hear more

Black Moth Super Rainbow - Haven't heard of

PJ Harvey - My second favorite female singer

Kidcrash - Haven't heard of

Modest Mouse - I love their albums

Envy - Haven't heard of

Carissa's Wierd - I need to listen to them at some point

MF DOOM- Same as above

Boredoms - I've only heard Vision Creation Newsun, and I like it.
