I saw them live having not heard anything by them. They were all right but didn't really grab me. Plus they were followed by Liars!

I didn't think it was that overhyped...it got an 8.9, there have been FAR worse albums than "Cryptograms" that have recieved above a 9 on pitchfork.
And nobody mentions the Arcade Fire being overhyped?! I like them but they have recieved by far the most journalistic fellatio by pitchfork since "Funeral". And what about Radiohead? Also overhyped a ridiculous amount by pitchfork. I don't think Cryptograms on the whole is an 8.9 record-the second half definitely is-but to say they are the most overhyped band on pitchfork is absurd. |
