Have you tried Riverside? Not Metal but a good starting point. Maybe also try:

Masters Of Reality
Kings X

or go heavier and try some classics:

Saxon
Diamond Head
Pre '80 Judas Priest

or again try:

Megadeth's 'So Far, So Good, So What'
