Anything by Tool, or A Perfect Circle. Atleast the songs that aren't about Maynard's mom.

Default John Mayer....

I'm helping my mom make a CD. The person she is making it for is looking for songs and artists that sound like John Mayer. Not necessarily by the voice, but the songs need to have a real close match to his rhythm and the smoothness of his guitar. Anybody that has any suggestions, please tell!!

Steven Swift. He's between John Mayer and Jack Johnson. A little Dave Mathews as well.

I need some more funk, so far all I've got is Funkadelic, Sly & the Family Stone, and George Clinton.

And I know about Parliament, but I need a recommendation on which album to start with.

Have you tried Katatonia? Maybe their "Tonights Decision" album. Depressing, dark and gloomy are 3 words I would describe its perfection.

I just heard Radiohead's Idioteque and I think the song is beautiful to be honest. It just gets me lost in the music. Any bands that play things similar to this song? I prefer more unknown bands, but not the kind that aren't even on Itunes.

I need some good film scores. Something like the Princess Mononoke soundtrack.
