Beautiful metal eh. Opeth's a good group to get into (as jack said), but here's a few other recommendations for ya too-

Tiamat
maudlin of the Well
Edge of Sanity

Have fun.

I listen to Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr and The Flaming Lips.

I'm just looking for something new to listen to and those are bands I like so maybe you guys can recommend me something. I'm into Akira Yamaoka and The Seatbelts at the moment, just a bunch of non****ty Japanese musicians. Feel free to drop some new suggestions to listen too!

Where to start with Bjork?

I saw her video for "Hunter" and never hearing anything from her before, I'm very very intrigued.

Her debut is the best place. Her follow on 'Post' is my favourite but Medulla is great too. Last years 'Volta' was dissapointing though.

That songs off Homogenic and that's my fave album of hers, Post is probably easier though, more pop orientated.

My mom has this Christmas CD she really likes (click to listen) but she wants to find some regular music like this so she has it for non-holiday seasons. I'm not sure what it would be classified as. Downtempo or trip hop? Not really musical styles I listen to very often or am very familiar with.

So I was wondering if somebody could recommend me something like this?
