How did you did you even come across Alfred's post? It's not only eight years old, it's smack dab in the middle of hundreds of pages.
Quite an accomplishment.

Looking for suggestions: I know there are plenty of songs out there that come with a great positive vibe right out of the box, no swearing, drugs/alcohol or sexual references. I am finding it a challenge (although I may be looking too hard and just exhausting myself over it). Think "Happy" by Pharrell. They are catchy, upbeat, make you want to dance kinda songs.
Can be any genre. Instrumentals are fine but keying on songs with lyrics! That's where the big challenge lies waiting. Prefer songs with a sense of a higher tempo. Again: No Swearing, drugs/alcohol or sexual references. If it helps, my intentions are many but the main uses would be playlists for hitting the gym and want that positive push, when i am struggling with my depression and need that lift or when I am hanging out/playing games with my young nieces and want some fun music in the background (but not necessarily pop song kid edits, if you know what i mean). What suggestions do you have? |

New Stuff
As the title states, im looking to expand my music library and looking for pretty much anything as long as its not to extreme (heavy metal or "hardcore" pop)
Ill start the recommendation list: Hooray for Earth- sadly they have 2 albums, but both are great. I dont really know how to explain their music, so youll have to just listen. Kaiser Chiefs- Brit pop. My favorite album is their last one "education, education. education & war". The Last Shadow Puppets - Very similar to Arctic monkeys, in fact, Alex Turner (lead singer for Arctic Monkeys) is the lead signer of TLSP (The Last Shadow Puppets). I would love to hear suggestions. |
