See: Liquid Tension Experiment, Buckethead, Devin Townsend, Symphony X, King Crimson.

A Perfect Circle is pretty ambiguous... I could probably find stuff but it's better if you just listen to alternative albums made in the last six to eight years,

Default The Shapeshifter - looking for that genre

Hi to all,

Im in a pickle situation right now, I need to get some presentation on the workflow, but I dont have a tune for that.

I was suggested, The Shapeshifter - Incredible (YouTube ID: 3EgebeTuDtI). The song is nice, and I like it.

But there is a problem, and I will try to lay it out in the best possible way I can:
  • the song must be an instrumental
  • the song must be of that genre and tempo/rhythm
  • I need suggestions as soon as possible

Once again, Im really sorry about this first post, to go as a question, but I really do need some assistance on this, and who is the better person to ask than musicians.

I appreciate any kind of help.

Well I would pick something in the Progressive Rock genre. There is plenty that is purely instrumentals.

Try the bands Caspian, Steve Vai, or Tommy Guerrero.

It's possible to post a video link after you've posted more than 15.

Default I want Suggestions

For a long time I wasn't a huge music fan, but I have started to recently and I just got an ipod. I like pretty much everything except country music and rappers who only sing about sex and how awesome they are.

I was wondering if anyone had any non-mainstream bands (or really good mainstream ones) that they could recommend. I don't have a huge music collection and I'd like to expand it.
