Philosophy:
Seriously, do you think that there is a strong connection between music and video games? I'm asking this question because I think that many video games have great music. The Grand Theft Auto games have excellent soundtracks. If you look back at the 90's, Doom had many metal songs. (Doom used to be a PC game, but after 2000, it was played on the Game Boy Advanced.) Even Pokemon had some wonderful songs. (Go ahead and laugh but I think that Pokemon is great.) While we're at it... Can you name any video games that feature country music? |

Looking for a specific kind of music
I do know about the stickied recommendations thread in this forum, but I'm trying to get as many recommendations as possible; so I feel that I would probably have more success if this was a separate thread.
With that out of the way, let's get to my current problem. I too am working on a project that requires music. It's a little difficult for me to describe what I'm looking for, but I'll try my best. I'm looking for music that is reminiscent of nature (it's fine if it includes samples of nature, but I don't want it to consist solely of such), with action to it (so ambient is out). And I'd like a suspenseful feel to it with a resolution at the end. The closest I've heard so far is "Mbira" by Robert Rich but it's missing the suspense+resolution criteria. Any pieces/artists/genres I should look at? |

You could use winamp. Idk what other newer ones are out there but I used to use it heavily in the past.
