I know this is a relatively ancient threat and could even be sacred or something (I don't know). But am I the only one who finds the title hard to understand. I mean it's not that bad, but it almost seems like it's saying not to post recommendations or questions here....

sure it's missing a comma up there but it's basically saying don't start a new thread asking for band or song recs, post them in here instead of littering the forums with them. It also serves as a dumping ground because there are some newbs that still do it and they can be merged into this one thread.

Just thought I'd say that any fans of that celtic-punk/Poguesy sound of Flogging Molly should have a look into the Tossers if they haven't already. Very good, pretty underrated band.

Dirty Elegance; Opgave; Saltillo; And their affiliates Sunday Munich throw a bit more shoegaze/dreampop into things, and as such are a wee bit more vocal-heavy, but you might like them all the same; If you need links, you're welcome to ask me about them. |

Every Time I Die spring to mind too but you've probably already heard them and made up your mind.

Also ETID are one of my favorites, I would have put them on my initial 'list' but I've got plenty of southerncore. |

i want to hear music that's totally out there - which is completely unlike anything else, and does not fit into any genres, is not world music, closer to a cat walking on a piano keyboard
