I'm into a band called Level 42. Anyone know of any similar bands to them, cause I've never been able to find anything similar?

You mean more 80s cheesy pop bands, a bit dancy and all that? Here are some of the top of my head. I'll include videos so that you can hear if it is what you're looking for.

I'm looking for something depressing or bleak or whatever. I'm not all too sure why, it just seems interesting. I already have a few "depressing/bleak" albums -- maybe in a more broad sense -- but most of them are expected:

Time Out Of Mind
Blood On The Tracks
Closer
Unknown Pleasures
Wounded Rhymes
The Queen Is Dead
Meat Is Murder (OK, well, The Smiths albums may not fall under those categories, but they definitely aren't "happy" either)
Loveless
Sea Changes
Here, My Dear
I See A Darkness
Berlin
Pink Moon
Songs From A Room
Songs Of Leonard Cohen
