Merciful Fates - Don't Break the Oath will not disappoint if you're interested in heavy rhythms, screaming guitars and wailing vocals. Musically, this is equal to the best Priest and Maiden, but it's also considered Black Metal, meaning there's a lot of demonic imagery in the lyrics, which I find kind of amusing in a badass sort of way. That shouldn't stop you from enjoying one of the greatest pull out all the stops, hot-dogging, show stopping heavy metal releases. If you don't want to go there stick to Rainbow, Halloween, Metal Church and Symphony X.

Top five chillout songs? Now that sounds like an interesting challenge... here goes!
5. Dive - David Bridie: Reminds me of the days i would spend trying to relax my aggravated nerves by walking along a beach, i can picture the water and the waves curling up and crashing as i listen to this song and it always gives me the biggest sense of peace and harmony. 4. Mogwai fear Satan: If I am not relaxed by the end of a 16 minute soothing, rousing epic like this, then i musn't be human. it's brutal, it's beautiful and it leaves me with goosebumps, always... 3. Magician Among the Spirits - The Church: It's got this really laid back, lazy sounding bassline and not a wholeot more except for a few sounds and guitar effects and thirteen minutes of poetic lyrics... an epic way to relax. 2. Airportman - R.E.M I love the way this just kinda ambles along with ambient sounds and a very husky low toned vocal from Michael Stipe... lots of little ringing sounds doesn't hurt the relaxing feel either... 1. Kid A (the track) - Radiohead: Again..... the ambience and the overall feel and blend of sounds just kinda lull me intoa nice sense of relaxation here... ***Disclaimer*** These were not intended to be in any sort of preferential order...

Looking for a couple of specifics - Please help if you can
First one is retro 60's 70's action fast tempo hip-hop with a kickin beat and blaring trumpets sort of like 'I'm your villain' by Franz Ferdinand forget the lyrics though or like 'Get It Sapo' by DJ4Joy
Secondly I'm looking for some electornica bluegrass with some serious banjo in it. No lyrics preferably and no chipmunk BS. Thanks. Help if you can. |

I'll just pop this here
Ok so I couldn't find a thread where we post gems we've discovered so if this is in the wrong spot I apologize,
Here is a little nugget I heard on the radio today I think you may find amusing, the sound quality isn't the best but was the only clip I could find, so try finding a better version if you like. It's called Northcote ( so hungover). By the Bedroom Philosopher http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9rJlAbyVKo
