Modern pop remniscent of Phil Spector, 60s, etc?
Cello everyone!
I am in love with pop music and yeah, well....I'm looking for music that has been made in the past 10 years that sounds somewhat like the old 60s style pop. I'm having a tough time finding anything that really hits the mark, but any help would be appreciated! for now Girls- Album (2009) is the closest thing I've found so far, but I'm looking for more as well as just making some of my own too haha! |

Hot Shots - "I'm In Love" Best Coast - "Make You Mine" or "When I'm With You" Happy Birthday - "Girls FM" Blanche Hudson Weekend - "Crying Shame" — No youtube and I can't post links yet, so just look for the ep The Letters To Daddy for a few retro-ish tunes. The Apricots - "Zoom" — couldn't find this on youtube either, so either try to get your hands on The Apricots - Swingin' and Smilin'! or even better get your hands on the Japanese Girls Compilation - My Summer Love. Looking for upbeat jazz, having a Broadway show-tunesy kind of feel to it. I'd prefer it to be instrumental, please.
Also looking for Power Metal, like the band 3 Inches of Blood (amazing band by the way. It's like the brainchild of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden) |
