Okay, this is going to be a question that has a lot of answers. I'm new to the site, and part of the reason that I joined was to get into some new bands. My favorite type of music is classic rock, to be specific The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Doors and others. I am into Metal, but kind of old Metal like Brocas Helm, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, so on. I want some new bands like some of these. Any help would be great.
Please no Metal like Bullet For My Valentine, or anything that just screams in your ear, I actually want to understand the lyrics. |

For the life of me, I can't find any threads titled "math rock", so I'll just post this here.
I like Tera Melos, Giraffes? Giraffes!, Fugue, Weird Korea, God Tiny, By the End of Tonight, sggt., Ghosts & Vodka, LITE, Maps and Atlases, and even Fall of Troy if you want to throw them in there. Are there any other super cool math/jazz-fusion bands like these and/or with their own unique touch anyone can recommend? |

Math Rock Thread I'd definitely suggest Hella and Don Caballero. They are quite essential as far as the genre goes. |

Wow, I was just looking for some math rock and I seem to have come at the right time.
I need some heavier math rock with more focus on the instruments. So basically closer to 65daysofstatic than Algernon Cadwallader.
