Thank you, I'll give them a listen. I can't believe I forgot Sean Costello. He'd probably push DT out of my top 10 and go ahead of R.E.M.

I really like hard rock bands with nice riffs to their songs, but after searching far and wide and trying lots of recommendations I'm up for anything. Thanks
Pretty simple ones, but

Kayo Dot
Paradise Lost
Opeth

Looking for any good Garage Rock bands similar to Eagles of Death Metal. Also, I'm on the lookout for any female vocalists similar to PJ Harvey.

Any recommendations would be great.

Kayo Dot - I have Choirs Of The Eye, it's pretty cool but I don't prefer it to motW.
Paradise Lost - Only have In Requiem, it's alright but I don't like them enough to look into them any further.
Opeth - Again, only the one album - Damnation. I'm not a big fan of Death vocals so I'm kinda closed off from Still Life and Blackwater park. I love Damnation though. Slowly starting to like death growls thanks to motW songs like Stones of Octobers sobbing and Bizarre Flowers. Maybe in a while I'll like them when I get to like growls.

I wouldn't call all these bona fide trance, but give these a go anyway...

^ That's Microgravity by the Higher Intelligence Agency second from the top there. As I say, not exactly what you're looking for but they all make for pretty trippy, spaced electronica, so I'd say they're worth it.

If you need, don't hesitate to ask!

Default Fear/Dread

Hi All,

I need to find some music, parts of music, that inspires or talks about fear and dread. It could be classical, pop, african, carribean, anything. I mean preferably lyrically inspired dread.

I was wondering if you guys had any ideas?

Thanks,
Trevor.
