Do you mean ACTUAL techno like Swen Weber or do you just mean any electronic music.

These couple of songs might help you, but I think you may have heard them before...
Thanks for the recs!

And yes, Fair To Midland are great, definitely worth checking out. I'd give their album "Fables From A Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True" a listen. I love that album a lot.

Hello, new person here.. just looking to broaden my horizons on music. My top 10 bands are
1. Alice in Chains
2. Megadeth
3. Tool
4. Skid Row
5. Porcupine Tree
6. King's X
7. Maudlin Of The Well
8. R.E.M.
9. Dream Theater
10. Elliott Smith

I really like hard rock bands with nice riffs to their songs, but after searching far and wide and trying lots of recommendations I'm up for anything. Thanks

Dead Soul Tribe - 'To My Beloved'
*very Tool-like but they incorporate many tribal sounds and elements. I'm only just getting into them, they've split now but it's cool because most members are starting a new band. I really don't like when bands outstay their welcome and aren't creating anything new. It's good for musicians to branch out.

Anathema - 'Are You There?'
*they started as a death metal band but you seriously wouldn't tell after hearing this. If you like atmospheric rock, or like Porcupine Tree you should check these guys out. Beautiful song.

James LaBrie - 'Freaks'
*if you like Dream Theater you should check out James' solo album 'Elements Of Persuasion'. It's very different to Dream Theaters work and I personally think he sounds better on this album. This is actually his 3rd solo effort, with a previous band called Mullmuzzler. This is my second favourite song off this album, check out 'Slightly Out Of Reach' as well.

^^^ they are just very small samples. You should seriously check out the full albums and look into them. I think you and I have a very similar taste in music judging by your ten bands listed. Welcome to MB by the way.
