Some Real (not Nu) metal thats accessible and listenable for someone who's hardest artist on their iPod is slipknot...
._.
All my friends are Death metal Fanatics, and they listen to stuff like Nile, And I just can't get all the way through a song, so how about a 'gateway metal' band?

<_< I feel weird asking a question like this.

Aye, one of you mods should put a comma in this thing.

"Don't start a new thread, post here."

Kind of confusing if you read it altogether.

That statement encapsulates everything that's wrong with music these days. Itunes does'nt have their music because I presume they won't sell much? We all have to make a living but the music game is a slightly different beast and if Apple want everyone to have those generic players with their crap headphones about their person, then it is about time they employed people who know music. Promoting new and good quality music surely can be beneficial to both provider and consumer?

I gave them a listen solely because of their name and consequently loved it.. I second this.

Default African American Music Appreciation

I work at an after-school tutorial program at a music school and we're adding a music appreciation/theory segment to our programming.

I'm developing a list of songs to play a "name that tune/artist" game. If you were going to present music presenting important songs and artists in the African American history, what would you choose? Keep in mind all selections have to be "G" rated and present positive ideals.

Well some obvious ones would be "What A Wonderful World" and "Mannish Boy".
