Have you even listened to those tracks? The second and third are pretty fast and at times hard hitting.
I also guess the problem here is, that when you say "complex" you don't really mean complex.
You mean something else, not sure what.
Complex music is clearly not for you.
You may be right. I've never expressed my feelings about music before, plus I haven't listened to a lot of types of music. I just don't have the attention span to listen to everything.
I like everything from happy, sad, angry, and beautiful music as long as it's strongly expressed with good depth around it. I don't like death metal from what I've experienced so far, because it seems like meaningless rage without much depth. Hopefully I'll get to the bottom of what my preferences are.

One thing I notice: You seem to refer to all kinds of extreme metal as death metal. Death metal is actually only one specific type of extreme metal.

I think saying that death metal is meaningless rage is kind of missing the point. The lyrics may not be personal, which might give the impression of the emotion not having any depth, but if you just look at the aggression as the band channeling primal, visceral anger, then a lack of intellectualism ceases to be relevant. You shouldn't be connecting with the artist on a personal level, because the feelings expressed are basically divorced from any specific issues from the band members, you should just be connecting with your own deep-rooted feelings of unfocused rage. An overabundance of testosterone also helps.

I liked it but it wasn't stimulating. It had a relaxing quality and the bass felt good on my ears for some reason.

Maybe. Or maybe not. I have my doubts, haha. I would become a music artist myself if there wasn't so much to do and so little time. Creating music takes time, dedication, and...patience. I may be expecting music that is too good.

The first one is too heavy. Not much room for melody. The second one has this thing that the music seemingly "waits" for the singer to finish, more lyric-focused. The thrid has long periods of just bass, don't know the purpose of that. The fourth one is indeed complex, but it sounds "off". It's intentional, but it's difficult to grasp. But yeah, maybe complex isn't what I'm looking for.

I understand. I listen to In Flames sometimes. Not sure if you would consider it death metal, but it contains plenty of rage as well.
I know this is going to be very specific, but I am looking for a certain type of music or music genre. I just recently bought the Fight Club soundtrack and found one song very interesting.
It's called 'Corporate World' by 'The Dust Brothers'.

I like the minimalistic beat and all this 90's like jazz tune, so I looked a bit around the internet but could not find anything compareable.
I know it could be described as Elevator music but even elevator music is not really fitting.
I hope some of you know some songs, that sound quite like the first minute of the fight club song. If you do please feel free to write them in this thread.
And don't tell me about Muzak. I know Muzak and it doesn't have this minimalistic and 'small' tune.
Its certainly along the lines of Bossa Nova with a more modern take on it.
Which I can suggest similar electro Bossa Nova style.
Fantastic Plastic Machine which is a Japanese DJ and his music is more known as Shibuya-kei which is japanese take on Bossa Nova
Their is also Towa Tei which I think he might sum the music style up best with this tune called "technova"
I got a bit of a better result looking for Electro Bossa Nova which turned up this which also sounds a bit like what we are looking for...if not I am freaking saving this video to listen to myself!
