Default I've been searching for any music that has a similar feel to these songs...

So first off I heard the philip glass remastered version of Icct Hedral, by aphex twin, then the original Icct Hedral. The songs have this fantastic dark, dystopic feel to them, like the world is this chaotic brooding place. Then I heard the Thomas Newman track Shawshank Redemption: Stoic theme, and a song called sisters from the same soundtrack.

The song "Arcanum" from a video game of the same name also brings forth similar feelings and emotions.

I think its the cello. But the I really do like electronic as well, some clark songs almost fit the bill, and james holden also has a similar feeling.

Any artist. Any genre. Any help is appreciated.

I'd really like to hear some modern female fronted punk bands. I've looked all over the place but, they're kinda hard to come by. Stuff like Bikini Kill, Best Coast, L7, Sleater Kinney, Hole, Lunachicks, Shonen Knife.

I've heard a lot of underground ones I like that most people have most likely never heard of such as The Cooters, I Object, and The Maxipads. G.L.O.S.S comes to mind but, I think they're a little different.

So yeah anything you have thanks in advance. Either I'm bad at searching for it's rare these days.

Guerilla Toss are fun, if you are into noisy stuff.

Lydia Lunch - Like. Kinda chill maybe it's my current mood.

TacocaT - Love. Really, really love.

K-Holes - Really like them. The vocals are a little bit quiet wish they were more in the foreground.

Melt Banana - Really like. I think I've heard them before. The song I listened to has a great mix of punk and maybe some electronic stuff? Really cool.

Mocket - Not bad but, not for me.

Misantropic - Yes. I would love to see them live. This seems like a band you need to see live.

Thanks for some awesome bands and for that thread I'll check it out later.

Guerilla - Would love to see them live but, I can't understand what she's saying in the recordings.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Without a genre or anything to work off of it's kinda hard to suggest anything.

If you like pop music try Kate Boy she's really cool. Different.

Question Song with a little eletric guitar.

I think songs that start out normally and suddenly throw in eletric guitar sound AMAZING. Does anyone know any songs like this, and if so can you provide a link or the song name? Thanks!
