Snipped. You might like The Dreadnoughts, a lot of their songs seem to be a tad more fast paced than the specific ones you've mentioned but they also remind me a bit of some of The Pogues and Flogging Molly's stuff. If you like the more acoustic sounding things you might like the Irish Rovers, I guess. Not Irish at all but you might also like Ghost Mice especially their album "Europe".

Something like these, anyone? A compilation or some album names with these kinds of tracks on'em would be awesome. I'm going to a paradise like place this weekend, and when i'm not listening to natures sounds, i put my headphones on and disconnect. (i got'em all really, rock, reggae, hip hop, but i'm lacking trance/chillout/whatever you call these electronic masterpieces.
Song recommendations would be awesome, but if you guys and gals know some albums, it would really make my day if you share'em with me Sorry, had to attach the names in this file, can't post links to youtube. |

By the way, do anyone know any folk metal which isn't too harsh and extreme? Maybe leaning more towards power metal than black metal? Something like this.

Sure do - haven't heard too much from them though. I was thinking something similar to Finntroll, but less extreme and no anti-christian/satanist messages.
By the way, welcome to the forums.

Please help me find a similar melody. Have you ever heard anything like this?
I am begging for someone to help me find something similar to my favorite melody.
I know the term “similar” can define different criteria, and really the only specific thing I’m looking for when I say “similar” is the melody. If you’ve ever heard ANYTHING similar that has that epic/dramatic feel or similar in ANY way, please let me know! I’ve linked to several different styles of the song(8 bit, orchestral, original, and piano) to show that the style/genre/lyrics has/have nothing to do with what I’m looking for. Please at least listen to the orchestral version of this song(especially the chorus) as you will find that it may sound like something you’ve heard before or possibly help you expand your opinion of the melody. The 8 bit version is also a good video to try as it may also spark a memory of something you’ve heard before. Since I can’t post links yet, all you have to do is paste these after youtube . c om 8 bit version /watch?v=RXw_txpn_aM Orchestral version /watch?v=5lmpY3TUfXA Original version /watch?v=CBrWNbjw3RA Piano version /watch?v=WegyI3fBn4Y As you can tell, the video is an orchestra performing Michael jacksons smooth criminal. So I am NOT simply looking for a similar style song to smooth criminal. I’m talking about the melody and feel. And it doesn’t matter what genre! The orchestral song I linked to kinda (to me anyway) has a Spanish heroic feel to it due to the coronets and other instruments. So if you would be so kind as to listen to the above versions of the song and see if you can think of a similar melody I would sincerely appreciate it. I don’t care if it’s video game music or the score from a movie, if it’s similar in terms of melody/feel please let me know! Thank you very much! |

DJ Playero Greatest hits - YouTube though the production value isn't as good as modern day reggeaton it's like the essence where it came from. i know a few reggeaton acts since i live in Puerto Rico and reggeaton was created here so if you need some recommendations let me know personally. im looking for like an indie/alternative electronic band. like a band or artist that mixes alternative with electronic music. Artist like Beck, Of montreal you know, ppl who do it well.. preferably a track with a relaxed or chilled vibe like this one Star****er - Reptilians - YouTube Help plz?

Oh dayum, how did I miss this? The part you are looking for is the backbone of damn near every reggaeton song every created. Look into Daddy Yankee, Tego Caldron, Don Omar, Wisin Y Yandel That riddim that you like so much is called Dem Bow This is the origin of that beat where all reggaeton comes from. Of course over time people tweak it here and there but the backbone is using this riddim.
