Are you into post-punk at all? While they don't sound like Flipper, regardless; you might like the Fall, Swell Maps, Gang of Four... They're slower, raw, and were pretty experimental for their time.

Wampas have a Primal Scream-esque career. As in, their style has changed so many times over the years - from psychobilly to indie to punk! They've churned out some great songs though. All sung in French. Give 'em a shot.

As far as their indie era goes, I'd say Kiss is their best album.

Ive been listening to them for about two years now, does anyone have any suggestions for any new bands that that have similarities in the same style of melody and bass line?

I don't know about new but Air are an obvious one and Goldfrapps first album Felt Mountain is brilliant as well.

Anything by air would probably a good step onwards from Royksopp... just as mentioned in the previous post... also try maybe Boards of Canada, for something a tad more experimental... I am just starting to get into them, and I have to admit I am loving it quite a bit...

Does anyone know of any blues artists that do minimal type stuff, just a guitar and vocals, in the style and feel of Samuel L. Jackson's recorded stuff in Black Snake Moan?

I always hunt around for dirty Alabama type blues but the stuff I come across is usually full accompaniment and too polished.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
