No he was saying how the note is played and how it is inflected. Gilmour being a perfect example. You have said that he is not very technical (which is true) but he can hold a note-his passion overrides his technical skill.

He just has a great ear. I wouldn't say he puts more passion into his work than say Ritchie Blackmore just because his playing sounds more emotional.

Thank you jackhammer. I'm aware I'm not the darling of the boards, but I think its fair to ask that when I put an obvious effort into something, its not just passed off with snarky one-lines in a vain attempt to discredit a valid opinion.
