If you could hear any album again for the first time...
 

...i.e., have no memories of ever hearing that album, and be able to listen to it with an open mind, what release would it be?


I'm thinking of Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run. It stunned me the first time I heard it; each subsequent listen has been more and more disappointing. I could say the same thing about Marquee Moon, for that matter.

Hatful of Hollow- The Smiths (my first taste of the smiths, and wow i'll never be the same again)

I almost chose NMTB, but it's one of maybe five records that I heard years ago and can still listen to today. I never tire of it.

In The Court Of The Crimson King. When I first heard it I was absolutely astounded. Then I overplayed and now...I still love it, but it's not as great as it used to be.

I've completely outplayed every Elliott Smith album I own.

I wish I could re-live this. I've played it so many times. I remember how when I first heard this, I was completely blown away.

Definately 5ives self titled debut. Classic album.

Thats tough but I'll have to go with my copy of "Dins" by Psychic Ills. First listen through was orgasmic almost.
