Seven Nation Army by White Stripes
Other than that, I cant recall a band that made an impact in this decade like Nirvana did for the 90's, Punk rock and hair metal in the 80's, Led Zeppellin, Black Sabbath in the 70's or even the Beatles and the Birtish invasion in the 60's. I mean alot of bands that I like that were formed after the year 2000 are usually bands from independant labels. |

You missed my point, when the beatles for example came out with their first hit, it made a huge impact because it was their music was totally new to the world, they were innovators just like Elvis in the 50's before them. Today's music, well mind you there are bands that I like, but I cant say they changed my life forever as many of the bands I like have copied from other bands. Anyways thats my view of music these days, but remember folks its my opinion only, so dont bash me because I have an opinion :P

Oh, it's all in good fun. Anyway you weren't very clear and you listing some of the most important bands of each decade didn't help. Elvis wasn't much of an innovator...What bands have you heard from the past decade?

There's the White Stripes even though they came out in the late 90's (I think), Arctic Monkey aint bad (I would say the Brits have the best rock bands atm while the US is more into hip hop, rap, if I base on what I see people listening in my area), the Hives (even though they came up in the late 90's), Foo Fighters (even though they were formed in mid 90's), Time Again (even though they sound alot like Rancid), The Killers....I mean I like all those bands but I dont insane over them as I did with Nirvana or Oasis back when I was a kid in the 90's.
