What type of music fan is the worst?
I no doubtedly say Metalheads. Mannny of them are arrogant, self proclaimed, stubborn, ignorant sons a bitches. They think you are a pussy and coward if you cant take there style of music, regardless of cheesiness and lack of creativity.
(do not be insulted though, not all are)

Metalheads, because anything that isn't metal 'is for pussies'.
Mallcore Kids (kids who shop at hot topic and listen to ICP & Slipknot) don't even get me started on these walking abortions. Every time I see a 'juggalo' I get sick.

I say indie fans. Now now. No rants. Its my opinion that everybody already knows, lets leave it at that.
Metalheads of course tend to be huge douchebags as well. Theres some of them that can be pretty damn illiterate and socially inept. Punk fans can also be pricks, and hardcore fans are just assh*les. And of course everyones favorite. Emos. And I know I'm biased when I say I think prog fans tend to be pretty open minded. But as with any kind of fan, there are exceptions. We have our share of idiots. I remember this one guy at progarchives who called Radiohead music for people who like Britney Spears and that Amnesiac was a bad ripoff of Pink Floyds The Division Bell. |

As a fan of metal, metalheads are the worst type. Most of them are just too close-minded. I would complain about the elitism of some of them, but elitism is present with many other genres too.
Some indie fans can be quite annoyingly close-minded too.

I find them all annoying.
I would love it if just once one of the indie kids came in saying how great The Groundhogs were. Or a classic rock fan saying how great the last Double Leopards album was. But that'll never happen.

Even as a classic rock fan myself, I have no problem saying that a lot of classic rock fans are just, well, stupid.
Not to mention they are always the least creative at making up usernames. |

Any type of music fan can be annoying if they're unreasonably close-minded. Sometimes, if a person doesn't like a certain type of music, would it be soo hard to acknowledge that some talent went into it and just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it totally sucks ass? Maybe this is asking too much...

Forgotten Son and Pnoom are both very open minded. And me and Mickey go a while back, he posts on DDD under the name mikey, I know from the posting style that its him. But yeah there are some closed minded individuals. One that comes to mind is Ivan Melgar Morey, the guy is like in his 40s (but so are most prog fans, lol) and though he knows his prog, he seems to be pretty ignorant of anything else. Add to that its hard to be taken seriously when you call Bjork talentless and "bubblegum pop" and give 5 star ratings to albums by Kansas. |
