Lozzles. Hard-Fi are MAJOR LABEL in every sense of the word. A fat fockin' contract with Warner Bros themselves.

Arctic Monkeys, however, are as it happens an indie band. Zero, why the hell would you think otherwise???

What do you mean, "Urban ur right"? Urban didn't even claim to be right. Since you really choose to dispute this, mate, I'll have to make the case crystal clear.

Hard-Fi, for a start, don't even claim to be an indie label band, so there's no reason why anybody else ought to try. They themselves list their label type as "major" on their myspace page (for marketing purposes, however, "indie" and "alternative" are among the genre names placed at the top). They never wanted to be thought of merely as an indie band, and certainly don't wish to be grouped together in the same ship as other such bands right now. Frontman Richard Archer himself expressed that he sees himself as being in competition with Eminem, not some small-time indie acts. They don't even listen to indie music and claim their influences are totally elsewhere. As if that wasn't enough, they are as a matter of fact expressly and unashamedly under the control of Warner Music Group as is evident from any Once Upon A Time In The West album cover. There is no way anybody could seriously make a claim that they are an independent label band of any sort.

Arctic Monkeys on the other hand have no major label distribution at all. Domino records is not owned at all by any of the majors. They are in fact, perhaps to the surprise of many of a person, a real indie band.

What are you claiming I have misunderstood? The issue was quite simple. You claimed that Hard-Fi were an indie label band, and I proved that not only are they NOT one, they don't even identify as one.

And don't give me the "I don't really care" claptrap. If you don't "give a crap if they're indie or not", then why respond to a post with your OWN claim that they supposedly were? Good Lord.
