Whatsitoosit 05-08-2008 07:35 AM

Roger Daltrey: We Won't Get Fooled Again... which CSI Miami has adopted as there theme song.

Piss Me Off 05-08-2008 08:12 AM

Yeah Frank Black definitely, Tame, The Sad Punk, Nimrod's Son, there's lots of good examples.

Nice.

Farfisa 05-08-2008 02:14 PM

Im gonna say Thumbscrews by Jesus Lizard.....more intense screaming then in monkey trick.

GravitySlips 05-08-2008 02:21 PM

yes, but the scream in Monkey Trick is so out of the blue...it's the best eva.

The end of Drink Deep by Rites of Spring as well is cool.

Inuzuka Skysword 05-08-2008 02:35 PM

The Fall of Troy - What Sound Does a Mastodon Make, Act 1 Scene 1, and Macaulay McCulkin.

The Blood Brothers - "The Salesman, Denver Max"

Circle Takes the Square - Kill the Switch

jackhammer 05-08-2008 03:11 PM

The opening screams from I'm So sick by Flyleaf are pretty good:

(pity the rest of the album was crap)

last third of Monkey Wrench-Foo Fighters

There is a bit of screaming in this classic slice of thrash from the late 80's:

draxus 05-09-2008 08:37 AM

Suicide Silence has some insane screaming in it, any of their songs are goodexamples.

Also between the buried and me is crazy in that aspect. Just listen to "The Decade Of Statues"

TRPBass16 05-09-2008 01:12 PM

the scream in the intro to the suicide machines "war profiteering is killing us all"...it sets up the rest of the song.

GravitySlips 05-09-2008 01:44 PM

ah forget what i said...

best scream ever is at the end of "Good Morning Captain" by Slint.

I MISS YOU!

Jonovision 05-09-2008 09:33 PM

Dave Grohl

Dr_Rez 05-09-2008 09:37 PM

Dave Grohl as the devil in Tenacious D.

Jonovision 05-09-2008 09:40 PM

agreed

There is NObody that screeches like Yoko Ono!

I lived in a bad neighborhood once and had my stereo rigged to alarm me if anyone came near. I used a Yoko record. Nobody would come anywhere close to my apartment or they would triger the LOUD Yoko alarm. AND, it didn't matter if someone was white, black, or Mexican, EVERYBODY ran.

Either that or Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast"

KeithMoon2112 05-12-2008 08:29 PM

Won't Get Fooled Again (it has two epic screams!!!)

or

Comfortably Numb, because the scream is relevant to the lyrics and is epic in a "I didn't scream at the top of my lungs but it still sounds cool" kind of way.

WaspStar 05-14-2008 10:59 AM

Personality Crisis- The New York Dolls

"AHHHHHHHHHH! Yeah, yeah, yeah! No, no, no, no, no, no, no!"

...classic.

Also, Mick Jagger's scream near the end of You Can't Always Get What You Want.

I'm sure he screams a few times, but i am referring to after the devil is defeated (Grohl plays him) he lets out a blastly scream.

ahh.. never realized that was Grohl's scream, I thought he was just acting out to the recording.

Slayer - Angel of Death

Same, i forgot about that scream, its awesome.

Urban Hat€monger ? 05-15-2008 11:04 AM

This one

CrackledNitro 05-15-2008 01:13 PM

Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe Eugene. I think Roger Waters breathes in when he screams...

Spot on! That's a great scream - it's absolutely blood-curdling.

Varg's deranged screams in Det Som En Gang Var have always been quite appealing to me.

Deep Purple's Child in Time is probably the greatest vocal performance ever - screams galore.

Paul Baloff's over the top vocal style really helped to make Exodus' Bonded By Blood one of the most fun-filled thrash albums ever written.
