I love Bloc Party's debut but it is a mish mash of various indie guitar bands. Nirvana I very very rarely listen to anymore, so that says enough. Rush have done some amazing stuff but they have been dead in the water over 15 years now. I like Tom Petty but I personally would'nt have him high in my list as his music is not exactly groundbreaking so Public Enemy for me.

Theres another band named Nirvana, a British 60s Psychedelic Rock band, thats probably what he was referring to.
