The Pumpkins are pretty much a non factor in music NOW

but back in the 90's they were important and making great guitar dominant rock music.

Siamese dream is as important an album in the 90's as 'Nevermind' 'Loveless' and 'Odelay'

Loveless and Odelay were important for their creativity and originality, neither Nevermind and Siamese Dream had that. Nevermind was important for its Impact and if you think Siamese Dream had anywhere near the impact Smells Like Teen Spirit did then you need to get your head checked.

a bit of over-analysis there based on what I posted but I understand what you said.

Just because you hate Pumpkins songs or you think Billy Corgan is an egotistical jerk does not take away from their impact on 90's music

Siamese Dream is an album that is not out of place being next to Nevermind in your record collection.

And originality does not a better album make, I certainly don't see how The Pumpkins were unoriginal anyway, I can't think of anyone that sounded like them at the time.
