Default Expanding your tastes?

Well... what kind of music have you been giving a go lately, that you don't normally listen to?

Just recently I've been listening to a lot of hip-hop, primarily old skool hip-hop. I never liked it before, but I was blinded by that crappy mainstream hip-hop. NWA, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Mase, good stuff.

You need to dial up some Earth, Wind, And Fire, A Tribe Called Quest and Del Tha Funky Homosapien.

Either way, some new stuff I've been listening to is some black metal. Mostly Dimmu Borgir (sp) which I've found myself enjoying, though I'm too much of a pussy to delve deeper into the genre.

Get a Notorious B.I.G. album. Better flow, more interesting lyrics and miles ahead production wise.

Lately, nothing. I've been a serious fan of metal, punk, and neofolk for a while now and don't have much desire to go scoping around for new genres. Used to comb all through the underground, but I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather listen to something I enjoy then artificially expand my listening habbits in order to appear more open minded. I have a few odd favorites from other genres, but they are exceptions, not rules.
