Just listened to a few clips of Germfree Adolescents on last fm and i really like, its a much cleaner sound than The Slits which is cool. I'll have a looky for the album.

Listening to more improv work at cafes and pubs. Can't name any bands, really, since it's people just going up with their instruments/voices and jamming with the house band. Great music!

For me it hasn't been so much listening to music I have never listened to before (although I have recently become a huge fan of Richard Cheese — front man for Reel Big Fish) but it has mostly been taking the time to break into my old jazz LPs. And I would have to say B.I.G has a much better vocal style then Tupac although there is nothing finite that is terrible about either of them.
