For hip hop check out Dr. Octagon, Madvillian, MF Doom, cLOUDDEAD, Deltron 3030, and Subtle. DJ Shadow, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Ultramagnetic MC's, Nas (Illmatic) are all classics too. Oh and Black Star and Jurassic 5 are great also. That's right I'm turning this into a suggestion thread. Also if you want to dive more into Wu-Tang's solo stuff Method Man's Tical, Ghostface's Fishscale, and Genius/GZA's Liquid Swords are all good.

Anyway lately I've been listening to a lot of stuff randomally that Marijan suggested to me like Cut Copy and Hercules and Love Affair. Mainly when walking around or driving.

His lyrics are a lot different than most other hip hop artists, but that's a good thing.
