Incredible music trivia (metal, beastie boys, quote)

I'm talking about music trivia that's simply not credible enough to believe, but you can't shake that nagging feeling that it's true.

I heard that Roadrunner auditioned Cher to do the vocals on the Cynic full length but decided she was too "metal sounding".

That Dustin Diamond ("screech" from Head of the Class) is Michael Diamond's (Mike-D - The Beastie Boys) brother. There's a resemblance, but alas it isn't true. Mike D's father IS, however, none other than Neil Diamond.
