I dont see why it bothers you so much. Theres alot great music out there, just ignore the ****, and smile that unlike most people your not listening to it.

Well, you have to admit, though, some musicians on Idol are actually pretty good. But, I get what you mean, though, about popularity outweighting true talent. It's just how life works.

Yeah I don't see how this guy is going to make more money than Our Lady Peace singing this one song. They've gone Diamond a few times and nearly every one of their releases has gone Platinum. They're hardy some obscure band with hardcore DIY ethics.

Poor Our Lady Peace (I admit I'm not familiar with them), people will watch that horrible money grubbing show American Idol & possibly like their song - then rip off Our Lady Peace by actually buying their music because they liked that song! What is OLP going to do when people actually buy their music because American Idol is promoting their music!
