Well then that would make Joy Division on half-bad by your logic. Aside from that even if you don't like Joy Division they're still one of the most innovative and influential bands ever and deserve respect. If their music truly does suck so bad I don't understand how Interpol could become such a successful band when all they've done is rip them off.

I think you're going a bit far with saying that they ripped JD off. They were inspired by and took aspects but come on ripping em off?

Yeah, in fact most of these second wave post-punk bands sound like a hi-fi version of Joy Division without the talent. It could be the most unoriginal musical movement ever seeing as none of these bands are even as good as Wire, Magazine or Joy Division or any of them.

You missed the part where I said "your opinion". Sex Pistols were more influential and I think they were piss poor. Whitney Houston is influential...etc. As for most innovative, I don't hear it. I know people say it but none of the bands I like sound no where near Joy Division.

Okay so just because none of the bands you like sound like Joy Division that means they're not influential or innovative? Very logical!

OK, start naming all these bands that were influenced by Joy Division. As for Interpol, I don't hear the connection.

Smiths and Oasis, you're kidding me. Are you guys picking band names randomly out of a hat? I've never heard that comparison before.
