ooh I've got a good one - Dead Kennedys.
They should be right up my street (first wave hardcore, conscientious lyrics) but the singer just annoys the hell out of me. 'It's a holiday in Cambodia!' argh. The campy thing just doesn't gel with the music

Really?

I think he has the best voice of any of the singers in the first wave of hardcore bands.

Yeah Jello's voice is great compared to the angry screaming that the other bands were using

I hope I don't get to much **** for this like Zombeels and the whole Smiths thing but I am not digging Pink Floyd like I feel I'm supposed to. I don't hate them but I don't feel it.

This board has a lot of kids fresh out of diapers so you won't get much slack. But if you posted that at one of the classic rock forums I'm at, they'd be yellin' "get a rope"

I like them, but believe me IT TOOK FOREVER to like them. Lots of painstaking hours of listening until finally. I totally got it.

I don't think that's the proper way to get into a band.
The only thing i liked from them were these covers from a webcast of theirs a year back.
