Well any album's gonna have one fan. and I do mean any. Even the Bends, which is damn good in its own right, doesn't get as much attention as albums such as Kid A or OKC - not many albums do, really. Even Amnesiac probably gets a little more hype than their debut and sophomore releases.
However, I will agree that out of any Radiohead album besides the newest, it probably gets looked over easiest. It came at a weird time with no, pardon the term, gimmick for it. I think TKOL has had a similar problem, but i think they're both great, the latter being slightly better. |
I discovered them just recently.
An american girl friend of my kids suggested me to listen to a song called NO SURPRISE. And to read the lyrics, too. I did it. My opinion? ONE OF THE MOST TRUE, HONEST, CRUEL, CINICAL and musically catchy songs ever listened in my life (and I am over 40 ....) . I listen to this song and I see all the people I know, myself included .... :( |

Scatterbrain is just another Radiohead lullaby. It's not bad, but pretty underwhelming as it barely has anythign to add to the album. Sail to the Moon has some amazing instrumentals, but these cheesy lyrics are cringeworthy. Backdrifts has grown on me some more since I heard it first, but it's still not *that* good. Oh, on an unrelated note: http://pitchfork.com/news/48450-did-...-as-daft-punk/ ok |
Voted for OKC as hard as I could.

Really? Videotape's one of the only songs i would call great from that album and i think it's stripped down sound really makes its impact.
I think Scatterbrain is supposed to be a part of the developing sunrise of the album, as it and Wolf at the Door, though the latter has an ominous feel, have more brilliance than a lot of the songs that proceed it. Also, it's purty. |
that atoms for peace single was pretty cool
B-Side: |
That B side was underwhelming, but that's obviously a radio rip, so perhaps I will like it better when I hear a decent version of it.
