Someone should reset the poll. I'm sure 1 person would vote for TKoL...
|
I'm tempted, but then I think about how many times the poll votes will unnecessarily bump this thread and I think it's best if we don't.

Good point.

In Rainbows is in my top 5 favorite albums of all time. Everything Radiohead has made is fantastic though. They never disappoint.

What is Radiohead's Most Underrated Album?
2 Attachment(s)
The first song I checked out by them was "Creep" I quickly lost interest that song was the wrong place to start. :/ After a while my father brought up Radiohead because at that time I was listening mostly to The Smiths/The Cure/Pink Floyd & he said if I like those groups then I'd probably be into Radiohead as well. So I checked out their first album and liked a few songs but it wasn't great enough to get me into the group..
Then one day i seen the album art for "The Bends" (I'm not sure where exactly) but it made me want to check out that album and i became a fan of their sound and dug into all their albums...My favorite has to be "Kid A" every song I hear on that album is like a different world that i enter whenever i hear each song.. It feels so magical sometimes like if i have a bad day I can just listen to the music close my eyes & escape from it all....Anyways I always hear good things about everything they released but I feel that "Hail to the Thief" is a very slept on album I don't ever really hear much about it or major critical praise. It's an exceptional album front to back :D..What would you consider an underrated album from this almost perfect group? Attachment 4863 |
Absolutely, though it is a little lengthy for what a lot of people are used to in Radiohead. But I'd take it over the higher praised In Rainbows or OK Computer; although it can suffer some of the same issues of repetition or inconsistency, it does so to a much lesser extent and is a great bridging piece for their career.

My entire interest in music then became dedicated to finding that feeling. I will unashamedly admit that I credit Radiohead with broadening my taste... I felt if giving an album like Kid A a chance revealed such beautiful music, what else have I been missing out on that I simply disregarded? Sadly, the luster of Radiohead's music has worn off over the years... I think I just became too familiar with their sound. I wish I could listen to them like I did back then. I still love em though. |
Listening through In rainbows again...
If anyone has a top ten list of Radiohead songs, I expect Jigsaws falling into place to be in everyone's list |
