I don't understand that theory. The two albums are almost polar opposites to me.

King of Limbs exceeds In Rainbows soo much it's outrageous.

Yes i finally completed it and it's among my very favorite, right with Amnesiac. I love the super ambient approach they took on. The album definitely doesn't demand attention in the Radiohead kinda way, but it's a new turn for them while still embracing some earlier philosophies, in a way. Plus the album in it's entirety is practically perfect; Little By Little may not be the best, but it's not anything that wasn't done before (like on, say, HTTT, another incredible album). I love the balance of incredibly beautiful and edgily experimental, as well; i'd consider one of the most experimental albums for them since Kid A.

Still not voting, though; i can never decide with d's gaiz.

Why do people dislike In Rainbows so much? At one point I almost considered it my favorite Radiohead album. It's excellent! Especially when you get the version with the second disc and you get Last Flowers to the Hospital and Bangers and Mash. Great tracks.

Funnily enough I've just been clearing some space on my hard drive and IN rainbows got delted from my itunes today. It's just not very good imo. It all seems very bland and ungripping. The only song I really like is Weird fishes/arpeggi.

The majority of Radiohead fans think In Rainbows is excellent.

...People don't like In Rainbows? If it weren't for OKC it would be my favourite 'Head album.

I love In Rainbows. Depending on my mood, it either shortly follows, or matchesm Kid A/OK Computer for excellence.

my biggest gripe with king of limbs is the lack of transitions of dramatic changes. Before KOL you couldnt pick out any radiohead song to me where i didnt like at least a part of the song. They would throw a completely different song in there for like 20 seconds (specifically "suck young blood") or do some crazy dynamic that would totally change the song. KOF is good but it's not at all daring, people say it's expiremental i say it's their most conservative album.

It suffers from being boring, which is never a word i thought i would use to describe radiohead.

I certainly wouldn't call it experimental. It has some excellent tracks, but also some dull filler tracks. You know what that reminds me of? Amnesiac. Not sure what the b-sides are like for TKOL (or if there even are any) but the tragic thing about Amnesiac was that thyfilled half of the album up with filler when some of the b-sides for it were better than the true tracks themselves.

You can't compare TKoL to any other Radiohead albums.

And I wasn't aware Amnesiac had filler.
