I voted for "In Rainbows". I must confess I haven't listened through Radiohead's whole discography, only parts of it: OK Computer, The Bends, COM LAG (EP) and In Rainbows. I really really like OK Computer, but some of the tracks I'm not too fond and it kind of breaks the fluency. In Rainbows may not have the best songs, but I think it works better as a whole.
I have purchased Pablo Honey, Amnesiac, Kid A and Hail to the Theif as well, but I haven't really come around to listening to any of them. (I don't know why - I think I just forgot about buying them strangely enough.) It's about time I changed my iPhone-library and explored Radiohead's electronic music. I think I'll start with Amnesiac and Kid A. Last edited by Shoebox; 06-09-2011 at 08:43 AM. Reason: typo |

If you're jumping into their electronic music, I'd definitely go with Kid A if you're a fan of electronic stuff normally, and Hail To The Thief if you're not. Kid A has a noticeable lack of the guitar sounds you'll be used to in their music (most people point out Treefingers, missing the irony) but Hail To The Thief manages to find a good mix between their earlier rock work and later electronic work. Amnesiac is a slightly... odd album. It might take a while to get into. Then again, it has Pyramid Song, which more than makes up for it.
P.S. Out of interest, which songs on OK Computer don't you like? I consider it pretty much perfect now, but when I first listened to it I wasn't a big fan of Fitter Happier and The Tourist. Like you said, I thought they killed the flow, and it took a while for me to appreciate them. |

At the moment, Amnesiac has taken over for me as my absolute favorite Radiohead album. I was all about Kid A for the longest time, but I can honestly say that there's not a single song on Amnesiac that I don't love.

I love Amnesiac as a whole (excluding Pulk, it's my least favorite), i think it had the best and most diverse sound, but HTTT had recently become my favorite for the aforementioned mix of Alt. Rock with their dark atmospheric sound and even electronic muzak. It's got the edginess i love with the rock n roll i have craved as of late.

Amnesiac's a bit of a weird one. It's got some of 'Head's strongest individual tracks (Pyramid Song, I Might Be Wrong, Dollars & Cents, Life In A Glass House) but it's apso got some of their weakest individual tracks (Pulk/Pull, Hunting Bears, album version Like Spinning Plates). It's a shame that they put some of the weaker tracks in there, because it had some excellent b-sides.

Amnesiac is an odd one. Definitely some brilliant stuff, but also some really irritating experiments (Pulk/Pull especially) that really drag it down. Probably my least favourite of their discography, though I haven't tried Pablo yet, and I haven't listened to Amnesiac too much, so perhaps it will grow on me a bit in time.

I loooove Hunting Bears, I think it fits snugly in the album, and Like Spinning Plates is one of the best tracks on the album to me.
I especially love the jazzy songs on the album, Dollars and Cents & Living in a Glass House, i think they execute that sound really well. They should try it more in my opinion (if they haven't on King of Limbs).
