But then there was The Bends, Sulk, Nice Dream, Bones, Black Star, High and Dry.

Half of the album is really really good, I find, but then the rest is your typical 90s alternative college rock.

You missed out my personal favourite 'Just.' :(

I think the typical 90s mixed with them songs is a good thing, it makes the album better. :D

R.E.M. just did it better.

I never understand why people hold R.E.M in such a high regard, I mean some of their stuff is alright. Can never seem to listen to one of their albums fully. But meh, there must be a reason for them being as big as they are.

Probably because of Murmur.

Bones, The Bends and High And Dry are all brilliant songs.

Murmur's great and all, but there's a whole lot more to R.E.M...

Ya know I tend to find mostly Americans don't like them anymore... I don't know why this is, cause they are still pretty popular / held in high regard in Europe and other parts of the world...

But this is all very much way off topic...

OK computer-- No Surprises and Karma police... awesome

scottsy 04-04-2010 10:43 PM

Agreed, very much agreed Harry.... OK Computer and those tracks you mentioned, are, indeed awesome and amazing to a fault!

Nateon 04-08-2010 08:26 PM

OK Computer is my favorite but I've been having a romance with The Bends lately.

scottsy 04-08-2010 10:10 PM

Well, no one could give you a hard time for that... The bends is indeed a very romance - worthy candidate, lotsa tracks to absolutely fall in love with!

Lawlz, I looked at the poll and said
"Awwwww no one loves Hail to the Thief."

I mean, I own all of Radiohead's albums in CD form and Hail to the Thief is still my favorite, even if Ok Computer was the first one I bought.
