Weren't we going to have a Radiohead best track poll on MB, like we did with Pink Floyd? Seems to have been forgotten.

Well perhaps they're going to suprise the hell out of all of us and make an album full of electronic polka ditties... hehehehe

Yes they might write a few nice songs , I don't dispute that. But on the whole I find them getting more & more safe & boring.
Agree 100%. That is exactly what I thought of In Rainbows... solid album but nothing special. I will be really disappointed if they release something like In Rainbows again.

Yeh they should release an album called "Fuck You Dad" and it should be post music. They are making albums they want to make they arent trying impress anyone with something overly wild and I hope they dont start now, you cant keep expecting them to keep pumping out Kid A clones even then you would start to call them safe and boring. I find In Rainbows to be a very beautiful album, I dont know what you people are expecting from them.

I expect an In Rainbows style affair but i want something fresh and exciting, because i have no doubt in mind that they have the talent to do so.

They aren't going to get any bigger as a band than they are now and for all their posing as a 'proper' artistic band you'd think they'd might as well experiment more. I really hope they do and don't rest on their laurels just yet.

I don't think they will... I actually think they set out to make something gorgeous and serene with In Rainbows, almost as a post script to the political rage of Hail to the Thief... I think they're one of those bands that find their inspiration and make an album to suit, and really don't give a crap about the surrounding perceptions of their art...

I would personally go for something really mellow, electronic from them, something that lulls me into a dfream full of imagery, but heyif they made a loud rock record I'd probably eat it up too. I juist love the band and what they do and unless they make 50 minutes f white noise, I'll probably be all for what they new album brings...

Thom Yorke's solo album?

Seriously though, there is such a double standard being used here. People are saying that Radiohead has to be experimental to be really good, yet if some other band had put out In Rainbows they'd have no issue with it whatsoever.

Dac, that's because it's Radiohead. We can and should expect more from them.

They put out an album that was better than 3, maybe four of their previous works.
