OKC is out because of Fitter Happier? WTF!? Do you not understand the concept behind that entire album?

I don't care about the concept, a bad song is a bad song.

I don't think I've ever felt that an album was "ruined" because of one song. Especially not OKC.

that's a great performance, I forgot about the three-pronged indie-rock guitar attack on that old stuff especially! Gonna listen to that album now I think

khfreek, 'perfect' is saying alot, and I haven't listened extensively to a 'head album for a while but I never skipped a single track on 'Kid A'. I mean they just don't really have any terrible songs, but on 'the Bends' for example I was never a huge fan of Fake Plastic Trees or High and Dry and I've heard them far too many times to bother with them now.

Well, of course it's not ruined, it's just not full of great songs (my personal definition of a perfect album). As it would have been if Fitter Happier was excluded.

Its NOT a song. You dont get it, its not supposed to be something that stands on its own, but ideas the whole album revolves around.

"Radiohead have stated that although the songs have common themes, any clear story is unintentional and they do not deem OK Computer to be a concept album."

I'm fairly certain they only have Fitter Happier on there for the lyrics and some cool background noises, but I just don't care to listen to it.

Are you saying that Fitter Happier ISN'T solely about the lyrics? Cause if it is, I stand by my indifference to it. If it isn't, then I'll give it another whirl.

i'm really lost, what's your point again? Are you saying you're judging it as a song or what? I don't know where you got that quote from and it's not a concept album with a clear thread but it basically summarises one of Radiohead's consistent lyrical/bleakly musical themes i.e. 'consumerism sucks man'

If you don't sympathise with that then you're a poor excuse for a fanboy lol
