I never really though tof Slint as post-rock, they just don't sound like other bands in that genre.

Well, they're considered the founders of the genre...

Both are viewed as the founders... though Bark Psychosis were the first band to be labelled as post-rock

Slint just doesn't sound like modern post-rock.

Back to Radiohead, Whether you like Pablo Honey or not, you have to admit "Stop Whispering" is crazy awesome.

Pre-Ok Computer Thom looks like Smeagle mixed with Clay Aiken... I usually try not to look at him for those videos.

I wasn't a big fan of their debut CD, but when The Bends came out, I started to like what they were doing. By the time OK Computer came out, I became a full-fledged fan. The first time I heard Paranoid Android on the radio was in my 2nd semester of college. I remember putting in a cassette because they said they were going to play it again while I was in class. I come back from class and get the first 30 seconds of it...ack! Of course, I ran over to Wax Trax and picked up a copy. I think I played it over and over again in my headphones for nearly a week. My favourite track: The Tourist.

"Hey man, slow down, slow down,
idiot, slow down, slow down."
