Music can't technically die since it was never alive in the first place. A sound isn't a living thing.

Well I have heard a ton of original stuff already. Secondly, just wait for Opeth's new album to come out in June and then you will be pleased.

And anyway, what does it mean to say that "everything's been done before"? What a load of nonsense. If I wrote so much as one original melody right now, it would not have been "done before". I could do that in 10 seconds.

New genres are appearing all the time. New sounds are being created frequently. Go find'em. Kthxbi.

It is easy to get fed up of the same music. There are plenty of threads on these boards regarding great bands.

Try out some Robbie, some Michael, sprinkle some George on top and pepper it with Peter. You'll never make your wild claims again.
