Rush released Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures in 1980 and 1981 respectively and they were good albums.

Rush and Camel are some of the exceptions.
King Crimson are another, I love their 80s stuff, which reminds me of Talking Heads in some ways. And I like Phil Collins era Genesis, I wont lie. As for Yes, Drama was a really good album and 90125 is alright. But everything else from that decade is just crazy bad. Big Generator anyone? And then theres Jethro Tull, ELP, Gentle Giant and The Moody Blues. All trying to go 80s pop, and failing miserably. Gentle Giant only had one album in the 80s, Civilian. But it was so bad they broke up afterwards. |

Metallica - And Justice For All
Overlong , boring , badly produced and grossly over-rated just because it's 'old' Metallica.
