"I don't listen to Sonic Youth for straightforward rock songs" ...tehe. I wish that said straightjacket rock songs.

Where does chapel hill sit in your opinions of dirty? Quite an elaborate song. It even has a tempo change which is rare for sonic youth!

I'm seriously understocked on the 'Youth - I have Dirty, Daydream, Sister, Bad Moon. What shall I get next you brigands?

Ugh, you have those but don't have Daydream Nation? For bloody SHAME!

Anyway DN wins this by a cakewalk - why is Goo not in the poll, though?

I don't think Dirty is terrible, but it is definitely weak by Sonic standards. About three or four songs save it from being totally odious imo. Though I feel most of their albums are great in their own little ways (thus making them hard to compare), I have to agree with the masses and say that Daydream Nation is their crowning achievement. Bad Moon Rising, Sister and EVOL would all be close contenders for second place with me.
