Literally thirty minutes on google and you'd be very educated on the basic history and movements in hip hop

Still, you can't overlook the fact that alot of ppl do tend to respect gangsta rappers more so than comedic rappers. you can't tell me that whole gangsta image hasn't been an integral part of rap's history. ever since NWA came out being "gangsta" kinda became the prototype of what a rapper should be like. now im not saying every rapper adopted that attitude but i am saying the vast majority did and adopting that image sorta became a tradition.

So it’s no secret that i have a broad/weird taste in music, and that means that there’s music that i’m too embarrassed to admit that i love even though the music is too weird. But say what you want people cause everyone has their weird/unique taste in music.
So first of all here’s my top 5 guilty pleasure albums: 1 The caretakers- Everywhere by the end of time 2 The residents- Not available 3 The shaggs- Philosophy of the world 4 Acid mothers temple- Are we experimental 5 The space lady- On the streets of dreams Oh my gosh i’m blushing, i know i shouldn’t feel embarrassed by listening to this, but since i’m the only one in my family who listens to experimental/acidic music i feel like these albums are my heavy guilty pleasures. And i also have many guilty pleasure songs and artists which is too of a long list to mention here. But do you have any guilty pleasure songs, albums or artists that you’re too embarrassed to admit that you love? |

I like a lot of really cheesy pop music which is weird bc I'm rlly into industrial/experimental/electronic stuff mostly nowadays so I have quite a bit of stuff I regularly listen to that I am unashamed of listening to despite knowing that it's incredibly annoying to others and I thrive in my sense of unironic enjoyment.
Here's some artists I like Black Eyed Peas 100 Gecs Garth Brooks Lana Del Rey Dua Lipa Avicii Panic! at the Disco Paramore Dolly Parton U2 I consider my taste very meta after what one of my old bandmates said, I'm aware of the cheesiness in the music and I revel in it
