Jeff Healey dies relatively young, and here sweet_nothing is, still polluting our objective psyche like it's nobody's business. For the love of God, please, just...take up smoking. Take up binge drinking. Take up heavy fast food consumption. Do something that'll send you hurling down to hell long before your time. I beg of you. For the good of all mankind. Please.

It means you wouldn't know rebellion if it tied you down and shat in your mouth.

I still don't see how that actually makes them any better.

Besides, people have done that same thing much earlier on before the Sex Pistols... blues in its development wasn't about being a vocal virtuoso. Instruments weren't even required... let alone any hint of instrumental standards being mentioned. All you needed was a voicebox and something worth being depressed about.

I ended up voting for Cursive seeing as Hendrix is guaranteed a spot.

Your missing the point The Pistols weren't good, that's what made them great.

Alright, what the hell were Pink Floyd rebelling against? They were just an acid band.

Just because you're not snarling 'Smash the system' at every given opportunity doesn't mean your not rebelling.
Pink Floyd were the soundtrack to something much bigger. They came from a scene where you could get beaten up or arrested just for having long hair , where everyone was expected to get boring 9 to 5 jobs where anyone who wanted to do anything different were under constant harassment.
It wasn't just them , it was anarchists , writers , poets , musicians , journalists and all sorts of likeminded people would meet up and want to do something different.
That's where the rebellion against the system comes from and it was that starting point from where punk was given a base to start from approx 10 years later.
