Default need direction

ok i need some direction here. i am sure there is a post somewhere to help me just can not find! i am obviuosly not up on the new music, hell i thought hurt was new, and no i do not like.

anyways i am looking for some new garage band type music. i like the sound of silverchair, but don't like them, if that makes sense. there are several others bands i feel the same way about, such as tbs. i like the sound but can't get into it as much as i would like, if that makes any sense. maybe i am to finicky.

so if anyone can offer some music suggestions or point me to the right post i would appreciate. thanks so much!

Dinosaur Jr? They're not new but they're still putting out music and You're Living All Over Me is better than any garage rock album ever.
